A little bit about me
My name is Joe Palmer and I present a weekly Celtic Music show several radio stations in the UK and Europe called CELTICMOODS
I have been involved in the music business for more years than I can remember
I was the owner of SunshineFM in Spain for 10 years before I recently retired and returned to the UK
I have a vast experience in the music business promoting and performing with artists ranging from the likes of The Fureys , Randy VanWarmer, George Hamilton 1V, Ralph McTell, The Harrington Brothers, to name but a few and promoted tours outside the music business for cricket umpire Dickie Bird and Football manager Tommy Docherty
I have promoted tours for The Fureys, George Hamilton IV, Sandy Kelly, and Bill Conlon and outside the music business for sports personalities Tommy Docherty and Dickie Bird
I also had record shops in London and a recording studio in the 70’s/80’s and 90’s
I released several records by The Fureys, Randy VanWarmer, The Harrington Brothers, Billie Jo Spears, Pat Alger, Bill Conlon and the Lilt Album featuring The Pogues and various artists on my record labels Etude Records also Alias Records and The Celtic Moon label
I was a founder member of The Peelers folk group and we were the first folk group to be signed to Polydor Records in the 70`s, I also ran The Peelers Club in the 60`s and the 70`s which featured top folk artists from that era appearing there such as The Chieftains, The Dubliners The Strawbs Billy Connolly and Jerry Rafferty and many many more
I am in regular contact with a lot of the artists I play on CelticMoods and I have also promoted tours for several of the artists while I lived in the UK before moving and residing in Spain for 16 years
I now proudly present my weekly CelticMoods show on several radio stations throughout the UK and Spain and really hope you enjoy the music I choose to play for you in the show every week
